Positive Psychology

Based on current theory and research, positive psychology fosters awakening human innate capacity related to autonomous action, the ability to be motivated from within, and directing attention toward challenging goals.  In addition, it broadens one’s attitudes, reducing one’s selfishness, and mastering control over one’s body, senses, and mind.  In summary, positive psychology may be defined as the convergence of all aspects of an individual including the physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, and social aspects evolving continuously throughout the entire life span.


The body-mind-spirit unity plays an essential part in one's positive evolvement.  It lies at the core of defining one's unique talents and skills, as well as at establishing self-discipline and healthy habits. Through inspiring, yet challenging blend of techniques with mind-body connection and a touch of yoga with relaxation, one becomes more knowledgeable, strong, focused, and centered individual ready to face the fast-paced life challenges and ever changing social life-style.

Through personal experiences, positive personal traits, and positive intuitions one can improve quality of life and prevent pathologies that arise when life is barren and meaningless.  Positive features, such as hope, wisdom, creativity, future mindedness, courage, spirituality, responsibility, and perseverance are essential in transformation of more authentic negative impulses, and for making life worth living.  The factors that enable happiness, such as the effects of autonomy and self-regulation; how optimism and hope affect health; what constitutes wisdom; and how talent and creativity come to fruition, are vital to one’s optimal or “peak" experience and thus are essential in experiencing “Flow” in life.

It is always more difficult to control, to change, or even to influence the external circumstances, than to be in control of one's own inner Self.  To learn how to establish healthy habits through self-control and discipline, as well as how to honor one's unique talents and skills, is essential for developing positive attitude toward a happy and healthy self-guided life.  Through well defined self-knowledge, one becomes accountable for one’s own actions, makes the right and honest decisions, while not being swayed by external circumstances or pressures, thus setting a strong foundation for healthy, happy, and fulfilling life, while being solely responsible for one’s own life course.

My sessions are about taking your strength, amplifying it, nurturing it, thus helping you to lead your life around it to buffer against your weaknesses and the storms of life.  It’s about identifying your strongest qualities what you own and are best at, and helping you find niches in which you can best live out these strengths.

Thus, my approach is not only about healing, but mostly about transforming, building, and fostering positive qualities.  It’s about value level of subjective experiences, well-being, contentment, and satisfaction in the past (experience and wisdom), in the future (hope and optimism), and in the present (flow and happiness).  It's about strengthening personal traits, such as, the capacity for love and vocation, courage, interpersonal skills, esthetic and sensibility, spirituality, high talent, and wisdom.
